Dawleys supported Mission Christmas Cash for Kids on Friday 14 December by holding a Christmas Jumper Day, bake sale and raffle. The charity Cash for Kids responds to the needs of children in our communities so they can live life to the full and realise their individual potential. In 2017 they raised over £23 million to support more than 709,000 children.

Luke Beard, Account and Sales Director met Tom Reeves, Charity Fund Raising Executive from Free Radio who told Luke about Mission Christmas, which aims to make Christmas special for local children who may not otherwise receive a present.
Dawleys felt passionately about the cause and we decided to do what we could to help these children have a great Christmas so the decorations went up, everyone is wearing their best jumpers and the cakes and brownies went on sale including Chris Nash’s world famous sausage rolls.

The response and support has been phenomenal and the cause has really touched the hearts of everyone involved. Dawleys are delighted to announce that we raised £418.75 and have been able to donate 160 presents to Mission Christmas. This will help to bring a smile to the faces of those children who would otherwise wake up to nothing.

Dawleys would like to thank everyone who got involved and made the day such a roaring success, we’d also like to give a special mention to 4 year old Max Cooper. Max was determined to help and asked his parents to use his saved money to buy gifts to donate to the cause. Thank you Max! Thanks also to the Forest of Dean Kettlercise Group who bought £80 of raffle tickets.
Our fab Dawleys van also got a run out delivering the presents to the #MissionChristmas drop off point.
