2019 Dawleys Round Up

17 January, 2020

Another fantastic year for Team Dawleys, here’s a round up of our top success stories and events.

January

Solar power came to Dawleys Head Office in Ross-on-Wye. On a bleak week in January, with snow on the ground, the roof space of Dawley House was covered in solar panels. The panels were commissioned at the end of January just in time to catch some winter sun and had a glorious summer producing power for Dawley House consumption.

New fulfilment centre

Work started on converting our old datacapture offices into a new warehousing and fulfilment centre. The builders moved in and the walls came tumbling down to make way for new racking and packing areas.

February

Dawleys showed their support for Hereford FC by attending a pre match event where we enjoyed the full ‘Edgar Street Experience’ before watching the mighty Hereford FC.

March

Our new Fulfilment Centre was completed, the racking installed, new forklift delivered, scissor lift charged and beams in place ready for our new clients stock to arrive later that week.

It was a sad day when Ann Withers, a long time member of the Dawleys Team, retired after 25 years of sterling service managing our datacapture department. Thank you Ann, we couldn’t have done it without you.

April

We started April with a bang when Dawleys were announced as finalists in one of the busiest categories in the Small Business of the Year Category for the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce awards.

Dawleys launched a new range of leaflets promoting our business solutions and demonstrating how our range of 25 + services can solve your time, resource and implementation issues.

Our Account and Sales Director Luke Beard, survived a slip part way round to complete the London Marathon, fundraising for one of our clients Muscular Dystrophy. Luke raised a fantastic £3,000.

May

A really exciting start to May saw Dawleys announced as the shirt sponsors of Hereford FC at the Herefordshire Means Business Expo (also sponsored by Dawleys).

Dawleys also held their first (and probably last) Golf Day. The day started with bacon butties for the 10 x teams of 4 before tee-ing off commenced with an amazing trick shot by our very own James Gill. Despite a promising start The Dawleys A Team managed to come last and we had an extra man in the team. The phrase ”all the gear, no idea” sums the day up nicely!
