After a spectacular Great Dawleys Bake Off, we’ve eaten our way to an incredible fundraising total of £350 for Breast Cancer Now!
From showstopping sponges to savoury delights, the talent (and generosity!) across Team Dawleys was nothing short of amazing. A huge thank you to everyone who baked, judged, or bought a slice, every crumb counted.
With Breast Cancer Now having been a valued client of ours since 2012, it was an important fundraiser to help support the charity in the best way possible.
A Day of Star Bakers and Sweet Success
he office was buzzing with excitement (and the smell of freshly baked cakes!) as our bakers arrived with their creations. The competition was fierce, the judges focused, and the temptation to taste everything was strong!
Callum Price and Ethan Hegarty captured some great moments from the day from the bakes arriving to the tense judging rounds. A big shoutout to our brave judging panel; Sally Gibson, Hannah Francis, Luke Beard, and Dave Hopson, who took on the tough job of tasting their way through every entry. Someone had to do it!
Our Star Bakers

4th – Leigh-Ann Cowles, Client Services – Strawberry Vanilla Sponge Cake
A big thank you to the local businesses who kindly donated prizes: The Hope and Anchor, Hanks Butchers, Seven Seas Chippy, and The Priory.
No one went home empty-handed everyone who took part received their very own official Dawleys Bake Off Mixing Spoon as a token of appreciation!

Baking for a Great Cause
As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it couldn’t have been a sweeter way to show our support.
A huge thank you to Becci Smith and Lucy Yemm for organising such a fantastic event, and to Ethan Hegarty for capturing the day so perfectly through his photos.
And of course, thank you to everyone who baked, judged, tasted, or hovered by the cake table “for research purposes” – we saw you!
Together, we’ve shown once again that Dawleys’ community spirit is just as strong as our sweet tooth.
